Australian Outback Dunny: A Unique Painting in Acrylics

Imagine a world where vibrant colours and radiant light ignite a sense of freedom and limitless possibility! This stunning acrylic painting of an iconic Australian outback dunny captures the essence of that unbridled energy. The dunny, once a humble outhouse, is transformed into a symbol of resilience and community, where the dunny man’s regular visits brought more than just sanitation, but a sense of connection. And look at those flowers bloom! A testament to the power of nourishment and care. Original acrylic painting on canvas board, measuring 12 inches wide x 16 inches high, available framed for £190. Free UK postage and packing. Visit http://www.iannelloartwork for more details 🌼💛

This dunny is an Australian outside loo. The “dunny man” would visit regularly with a dunny cart to empty dunnies in the cities. I can only assume that the magnificent floral display is a result of the copious supply of nearby manure.

I am a British contemporary fine artist creating powerful acrylic paintings inspired by the interaction of light, colour, and perspective in natural and urban landscapes. I am fascinated by nature enjoying woodland, fell and moorland walking which provide a wealth of inspiration for my painting. For me having the time to stop, look and fully appreciate all the wonders of nature –the wildlife, trees and flowers and the interaction of colours and light – is a remarkable gift. I regularly visit family in Italy and Australia both beautiful countries full of artistic inspiration – some of the most spectacular sunsets, landscapes, and seascapes you will see anywhere in the world. My primary medium is acrylics, and I am a member of the Altrincham Society of Artists and the Visual Artists Association. I sign my artwork Iannello, my mother’s maiden name in her memory.
