I stopped for a coffee in a bar near Avoca in New South Wales. The setting was pretty exotic with palm trees, lots of hot weather flora and aboriginal artwork and artifacts. One boundary was made up of a thick bamboo growth which somehow demanded to be photographed and became the inspiration for this painting.
