Rainy Day

My latest offering fresh off the easel. Living in Manchester in the UK it was inevitable that rain would have to feature in at least some of my paintings. This is the view sitting, warm and dry in a café or restaurant, looking out on a bleak and wet day.

Mother and Child

I painted “Mother and Child” over 50 years ago. It was my first serious portrait painting and I remember being very unsure of my ability to capture the proud and resolute look on mother’s face. Unfortunately the surface was damaged some years ago whilst the painting was in storage
